Residue: a meditation on ritual, is an interactive CD-ROM that focuses on the death of my father. The narrative of this work is constructed to create a tension between linear and non-linear forms of interaction through various templates of image and sound. Like a fugue, segments overlap and repeat. The user navigates through a series of memories, unresolved questions and signs that guided the transformation of my grief into sorrow.

The work aims to construct an individualized contemplative space for the viewer to explore the topic of loss.
