“Vessel Noise”

CPMC Concert Hall
A collaborative performance by musicians at UCSD and CalArts,
featuring premieres of cutting-edge instrumental music for large
chamber ensemble by Chris Dench and Ben Hackbarth.
“Duoquadragintapus”
Tuesday, May 19 - 8:00PM
CalIT2 Auditorium in Atkinson Hall
An electronic extravaganza featuring one fretless guitar, thirty-two
improvising robots, and multi-channel computer music by Adam Wilson
and William Brent.
“Showcase II: Electronic Music”
Friday, May 22 - 8:00PM
CPMC Theatre
A performance showcasing new creations for computers, electronics, and
other digital oddities from UCSD. Works by Oliver.
“Showcase III: Improvised Experimental Music”
Saturday, May 23 - 8:00PM
VisArts Performance Space
UCSD instrumentalists and computer musicians perform an evening of
music using extended techniques and custom software. Performers
include Cooper Baker, Ian Carroll, Ignacio Lopez, Jaime Oliver, Jason
Ponce, Christine Tavolacci, and Chris Warren.
“Head Music, Ringtones, and Circuit Boards”

CPMC Hallway
Have some down time during the festival? Wander the halls to hear
chirping digital birds, user-generated telephone music, and other
installations by sound artist Cooper Baker.
