In the Composer's Spotlight, Mark Polishook, composer, and Lisa Hutton, digital media artist, will describe how they transformed a database of materials collected from radio, television, and print media into an installation for the Jack Straw New Media Gallery. Polishook and Hutton will examine how notions of memory and trauma shaped the aesthetic and political dimensions of the composition. And they will discuss their plans to expand Revisiting September 11, 19[72] for future installations in gallery spaces and on the WWW.
