He began his musical selftaught education at age 13 on african percussion instruments and on an old Honk-Tonky piano. Following his selftaught instincts, he started at age 20 to study north indian classical music(Tabla and Sitar) with the indien singer Meena Sashi Goupta. In 1989 he cames to Berlin and was until 1991 guest student in lectures of Prof. Witold Szalonek and Dieter Schnebel, and was working intensively in the Studio for electroacoustic music under orientation of Martin Supper at the Hochschule der Kuenste in Berlin . From 1990 till 1991 composition student of Orm Finnendahl and from 1993 till 1995 composition student of Walter Zimmermann, and selftaught research in persian and arabic classical music, afro-american music and between other crossover learning activities jazzpiano with the pianist Aki Takase. Looking for a most versatile and widely-performer composition style, he works since 1992 with computer aided composition and interactive intelligent systems which took him to atempt between 1995 and 1996 at the Sonology Institut-Den Haag/Holland under the orientation of Clarence Barlow on a Marantz MIDI piano. His activities are not limited to the compositional field but also enclose interactive performances with special attention to electronic percussive interfaces. He has performed his compositions in Germany, Holland and Cuba. Modern post african music Since my first journeys in the computer music world, I am extremely fascinated with rhythmic/timing and harmonic settings possibilities, more than the sound designing possibilities of eletronics.My discoverings are gone beyond, applying such technologies to a MIDI-Piano due the harmonic and rhythmic textures possibilities to obtain in such computer environment. The compositions in the MIDI files have involved basically the domains of timing, loudness and metalevel compositional sections for improvisation, interaction and deteraction between human being and machine. The goal was to bring compositional and improvisational leves to a high point of performance, where the musical traditions(a deep uncouncioness side in myself), technological resources and the available virtuose human being capacities(physical and mental) were applied in a very conciouness way.
